Dana White explains to Michael Landsberg that UFC has open policy on social media and media matters.  Many sports organizations have policies regarding media.  White does not think a policy is needed and accepts that if fighters are in front of the media or on social media "stupid things" will be said.

In a new conference in Chicago, Rashad Evans told Phil Davis, "I guarantee your're going to be the first one to take a shot, because I'm going to put those hands on you worse than tat dude di on them other kids at Penn State."

White commented, "We talked...it's not like I'm dealing with stupid people here.  It's one thing when you're dealing with dummies.  When you're dealing with people that are really stupid, it's tough to talk to them...But when you call a guy who's an intelligent guy - he gets it, he knows...What do you want me to do?  You want me to have our lawyers draw something up and I'll come out and read it to you guys?"

"He said something stupid.  It's probably one of the dumbest things you could say.  He gets it and he knows it was a stupid thing to say.  We'll see what happens."

Evans explained later that he went to Michigan State, and Davis went to Penn State.  We were trash talking and that's what came out of my mouth.

Evans and Davis are scheduled to fight on UFC on FOX 2 on January 28, 2012.
